Brunico

Brunico, the main town in Val Pusterla, is a beautiful historic town just a few kilometres from our hotel. The bishop’s castle dominates the Brunico from above and is easy to reach; the town centre, with its many leisure and shopping facilities, is almost entirely mediaeval in style and has four famous gates giving access to the centre.

In the centre of Brunico, our guests can visit the splendid Civic Museum, the Church of the Spirito Santo, the Capuchin Convent and the enchanting Orsoline church, a gothic building from the 15th century.

Just outside of the town, it is well worth visiting the “Piramidi di Terra”, stone-topped clay columns created by ancient heavy rainfalls and landslides. These “pyramids” often change their appearance as new ones are formed and on account of a colouring reminiscent of the mountain lakes, making it almost impossible to see their exact shade.
